Exaggerated savings for VO

Writer: Company DirectorCompany Director

Voltage Optimisation offers genuine savings in around 99% of installations however there are a few suppliers claiming “too good to be true savings”

How does it do this?

In the United Kingdom, the standard voltage for single-phase electricity supply is 230 volts.

The allowable voltage tolerance range is typically 216.2 volts to 253 volts, this is -6% to +10%.

This means that all modern equipment will run correctly at 220V single phase and 380V three phase and any voltage above this will merely generate excess heat which shortens the life of your equipment.

VO will usually save between 5 and 7% of energy bills and this is year after year with minimal maintenance costs.

There are a few companies claiming 15 to 20% or even more!

Please do not believe this!

How do we know these claims are being made? well it’s easy, we have been included in mail shots by sales teams at some of our competitors.

We offer VO products within our portfolio and we supply equipment that is making genuine savings for clients across Europe.

Our range of VO units will in 99% of cases save 5 to 7% of your energy cost’s (KWhr / units) and by reducing the energy consumption it will also reduce your maximum demand and reduce excess heat.
